Screw jacks and accessories - example applications
The range of products offered by NEFF GEWINDETRIEBE is not limited to catalog solutions. Each project can be adapted to the individual needs of the customer, and often completely non-standard executions or unusual ways of using lifts and their accessories are introduced.

Lifting the platform in an industrial AGV vehicle
M-TEG series screw jacks without additional linear guidance, applied in the industrial AGV vehicle. The drives are synchronized by master-slave control. The screw jacks are equipped with a locking nut and can reach a lifting height of up to 700 mm with a mounting height of 300 mm.
Custom lifting drive for pressing processes.
The lifting drive consists of 4 KGS-6310 ball screws and 4 KGF-D-6310 ball nuts, 2 tension rollers and 5 gear wheels, which are connected by a timing belt. The lifting drive is driven by a motor with a cylindrical gearbox. The axle bearings take up tensile and compressive loads of the individual ball screws. The maximum pressing force on the ball nut is 76 kN, a total of 304 kN. The maximum press speed is 370 mm/s, and the maximum stroke is around 180 mm.
A scissor lift table.
Two N-type screw jacks connected by Cardan shafts, equipped with GA ends mounted directly on the threaded screw, realize the height adjustment in the scissor lifting arrangement. The kinematics of the jacks generate tension on the screws, so the permissible shear force does not have to be taken into account. The system is driven by 2 three-phase motors in master/slave mode.
A linear gate robot.
The flexible modular screw jacks series M/J allows for optimal fitting of all sizes to the respective requirements. The 2 screw jacks for the X and Z axes of the linear gate robot solve a wide range of automation tasks. The portals can be flexibly mounted using standard interfaces.
Synchronous Telescopic Screw Drive for Medical Technology.
A two-stage, synchronously extending telescopic screw drive for electromechanical height adjustment of insulating blocks and operating tables. Available in trapezoidal or ball screw version.
Electric mesh cleaning machine
Mobile electric mesh cleaning machine is used to remove contaminants (branches, leaves, civilizational waste, etc.) in a storage power plant. The two C5 size screw lifts (vertical screw version on side E, vertical screw version on side F) used here drive the motors to perform the process of raising and lowering the inlet grate, as well as the mechanism of opening and closing the container for the cleaning agent.
Taking fuel cell production to a new level
4 reinforced screw jacks with ball screws are connected by rigid Cardan shafts to drive a specialized press for the production of bipolar plates. This process is one of the most innovative manufacturing technologies in terms of precision, minimal tolerance, component optimization, and production economy. Bipolar plates are a key component of polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM) fuel cells. The unique advantage is that all internal and external geometries relevant to the stack, as well as the flow field, can be produced simultaneously in an integrated process, providing maximum precision.
Paper Picker
In this system, two TGS Tr55x9 RH/LH trapezoidal screw jacks are connected to a high-performance MH5 screw jack. The screws are supported by special bearing assemblies. The drive is powered by a three-phase motor. Two integrated TGM-EFM trapezoidal thread nuts are used to implement the mechanism of two paper roll holders.
Car simulator
A car simulator with two linear actuators with a 24V BLDC motor and a planetary gearbox for adjusting the height and tilt of the driving simulator. A GT-2050 traction screw with a nominal diameter of 20 mm and a stroke of 50 mm was used. The 54-size actuators with a decentralized control unit can move with a force of up to 15,000 N and are supplied in IP54 protection class.
Automatic bar feeder.
Three M/J screw lifts are used to separate bars from the coil one by one and feed them into the feeder. To accommodate different bar diameters, three more screw lifts are responsible. The screw lifts are connected by RA universal joints. Each of the slow speed transmissions is driven by a diameter adjustment knob.
