Solutions for the special vehicles industry

Special vehicles – within this broad industry, we can observe both specialized fire trucks, vehicles modified for the military or border guards, as well as more common dairy tankers or camping vehicles. For the purpose of generalizing the topic, we can place diverse vehicles in this group, as upon closer analysis, we will notice that the solutions and products used are not so different from each other.

They will find applications such as:

• Stabilus brand gas springs, including locking gas springs (Bloc-O-Lift) or gas dampers (Stab-O-Shoc),
• DC motors and gearmotors or also BLDC motors,
• stepper motors, servo-stepper motors, or gearmotors with such motors, and even stepper motors with trapezoidal screws,
• electric actuators,
• oscillating and vibration-isolating elements from the Swiss brand Resatec,
• machine parts such as V-belts, pulleys, chains, etc.

The spectrum of applications is wide. For an aggregate in a tanker vehicle (dairy), we will use our DC motor – just as for a fire hose reel. For a water cannon, we will recommend using an electric actuator for vertical adjustment and a BLDC or stepper drive for the rotation axis. Windows or flaps in a camper, on the other hand, cannot do without our gas springs. These are just examples, of course – there are many solutions, and all are open to our clients and partners.
