In the painting industry, one must consider the fact that fumes are flammable, and the work area is automatically an explosion hazard zone (ATEX 2G, 3G). For this reason, drive technology must meet special requirements, as expressed in the ATEX directive. Our drives can be supplied in ATEX-compliant versions – for both gas (G) and dust (D) zones. Zones with high hazard (2) and lower hazard (3). These can be either spark-proof motors alone or complete gearmotors (including higher power ones).
